2 Weeks ago. Milla’s class on a Sunday. We organised a quiz walk through the forest. Once on the other side: a fireplace to grill your food, drinks and games. Really good fun and the best way to get to know the other parents. Thank God we had nice weather.
Seen the other day from the window. Wonderful morning light. But that means as well a very cold day ahead. We have sub zero temperatures again. Better get used to it again.
My little friend on the bike (the Garmin Edge 500) was going crazy the last couple of weeks. I didn’t know if it was due to the fact that I plug it into an iMac at home and a Windows machine at work. I even thought that (because she was made to ride) she didn’t like to go out and run around in the forest. I tried everything. But in the end she just refused to start up properly.
So I mailed the Swedish Garmin support team, pronto replies from them. Which I really like. And no “Support Team” signatures in the mail. Everything felt more personal. So they wanted me to send it back, which I did obviously. Then you get nice mails from them about the status of your support case and a week later I got a nice box in the mail:
The result: they just replaced the unit. No problems, they say. Now, if every support department would be like this…. There would be a lot more happy people on this planet. Thanks Garmin!
Yip, it tasted good. Yip, I love bread. I am about the only one in our family that eats a couple sandwiches a day. The kids wouldn’t mind a slice once and a while (especially in the weekend for breakfast with chocolate on it). But me…. Every day. The only problem is that I can get bored of some flavors quite easily. But this one might be there for the long ride.
Linda and I had an evening off. Meaning her parents took care of the kids on Friday evening and we had a hotel booked in town. A nice meal, a few drinks later, a stroll through town and….. an early night. We still have small kids every other day of our life. Mind you, it’s refreshing to sleep all night in your own bed, not having to get up early and not having to make breakfast. In this case it would have been better actually because … well, put it this way: you expect more from a hotel with this standard.
Saturday was a day in town. Funny how one is not used to this kind of day anymore. Too tiring for us. But fun. Oh yes. Don’t get me wrong. And when we got home and tell about what we did to Zeb & Milla, her first reaction was that she wanted to walk around in town as well. Zeb, not so much. So we decided to do this:
We watched the new Planes movie in 3D. Meaning you need loads of candy so you can look like this:
The movie was kind of OK. You feel it’s trying to much to be like Cars. But Zeb thought it was a good one. And that’s what matters. After that he was promised a trip to the toy shop and on the way to the car…. We walked into these characters:
Talk about ending a perfect weekend!
You think this might be the reason he is sleeping really bad these days? He wakes up every night now….
By the way, Halloween seems to be picking up momentum here in Sweden. The last couple of years it got more and more attention. I guess that’s why we jumped the wagon as well. I mean, who doesn’t like to dress up?
